The turbulent situation in the countries of Southeast Asia due to the coronavirus has increased the tourist demand for holidays in alternative regions, primarily in the UAE. This assessment was voiced by experts of the tourism market. Moreover, the UAE hotels, which are feeling the decline of Chinese tourist flow, began to provide substantial discounts, reaching up to 20% of the previous price, plus they began to give special offers and upgrades.

According to tour operators, the Emirates in general and Dubai in particular have become one of the destinations where tourists will go instead canceled tours to Hainan. At the moment, all Russian tourists from the Chinese resort are taken out. For example, Tez Tour tour operator began returning its tourists from the Chinese resort island of Hainan on January 25th. A bit earlier, Rus-Tur tour operator announced the start of the evacuation of its customers from China.
