Half of the tourist flow to Antalya in May is from Russia
“About 505.000 Russians came to Antalya in May. It’s almost half of the total number of foreign tourists”, - according to the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) with reference to the data of resort’s administration. "In May, Antalya was visited by more than a million foreign tourists, while every second foreign visitor was from Russia. The share of the Russian market in the total incoming flow to Antalya was 47.74%, more than double exceeded the German market (19.82%), four times - the Ukrainian market (10.06%), ten times - Dutch (4.04%) and 23 times - British (2.07%)”, - the report said. "By dynamics, the Russian market grew by 5315% in May 2017 against the same period of the last year and by 22% in comparison with May 2015, but still lags by 17% from the level of 2014 (592 thousand tourists). During the first five months of 2017, Antalya was visited by almost 2 million foreign tourists, which is 30% more than in the same period of the last year. The resort hosted 691 thousand tourists from Russia. Antalya hopes that this year the resort region will be visited by 7.5 to 8 million tourists from abroad and not less than half of these tourists will come from Russia.
