Finnair canceled August flights to Moscow
Finnair airline canceled the sale of tickets for flights to Moscow in August. Among the Russian destinations, only flights to St. Petersburg remained in the schedule of the national carrier of Finland.
This follows from the information posted on Saturday, July 4, in the Finnair reservation system. But, there is no warning about adjusting of programs for Russia on the Russian-language version of the company’s website. However, when tourists try to buy tickets for August flights from / to the Russian capital, they can use only the offers from Aeroflot, with which Finnair signed a code-sharing agreement on the Moscow-Helsinki line. Judging by the system, Finnair flights on this route can be resumed no earlier than in September.
At the same time, air communication between Russia and Finland is limited and there is no talk of its speedy restoration. According to Mikko Hautala, the ambassador of the Republic in Moscow, the country wants to resume flights to the Russian Federation, but cannot do this because of the unfavorable epidemiological situation.
