Demand for New Year's holiday breaks records

Tours for the New Year's holidays in 2021 are sold almost 10 times more actively than a year ago - there are practically no rooms at the popular hotels of the resorts of Egypt and the Maldives, the press service of the tour operator Tez Tour reported.

"The sales volume of tours for the New Year holidays is 8 times higher than last year for the same period. Egypt is the undisputed leader of preferences at the moment, accounting for 40% of bookings of the total volume. Turkey has share of 20%, and the UAE closes the TOP-3 with 17%. The Maldives are in the fourth place, this destination is chosen by about 10% of clients," the press service of the tour operator informed.

The company said that in 2020 the peak of sales fell on the end of November and December - customers were afraid of closing borders, additional restrictions, strengthening security measures and booked tours literally on the eve of departure. This year, the first orders for high winter dates appeared in June, and from the end of September demand began to grow every day.

There are no problems yet with rooms in the hotels of other popular destinations for the New Year such as Turkey, UAE, Seychelles, Mauritius, Dominican Republic, Thailand, Bulgaria and Sri Lanka,

According to the tour operator, Turkey offers the most affordable prices for holidays during the New Year dates. The cost of tours with departure from December 29 to January 2 at a 3* hotel, BB starts from 448 Euros per person. 5* hotels, AI cost from 556 Euros.

Tours to Egypt are slightly more expensive - the cost of vacation at a 3* hotel, HB starts from 488 Euros per person, at a 4* hotel, AI - from 549 Euros. In the third place are ski tours to the resorts of Bansko and Borovets in Bulgaria. The price for tour there starts from 920 Euros per person at a 3* hotel, BB.
