Demand for Czech Republic is growing for the first time for the period of two years
"The number of issued to Russians tourist visas for the last quarter of this year increased several times, every month increasing by about 50%", - Czech Ambassador to Russia Vladimir Remek said at a meeting with representatives of the tourist industry and journalists. He thinks this is a very positive indicator even with the traditional New Year growth. "The positive dynamics is observed for the first time over the past two years. It is interesting to compare the growth even with the pre-crisis indicators of 2013", - added the diplomat. According to his estimates, in the first three quarters the Russian tourists are on the second place after Germans by the indicator of the length of stay in the country. On the average, they spend six days in the Czech Republic. "We are very pleased with such obvious change for the better", - said Mr Remek. He also said that the number of Czech visa centers across Russia is increasing. By the number of tourists Russia in this year is on the seventh place – it is a little less than a year ago. However, following the results of 2016, the number of tourists will reach most likely the level of the last year.
