Cyprus chooses "all inclusive", competing for Russian tourists with Turkey
According to the results of the early booking campaign, Cyprus entered the TOP-5 destinations of the summer of 2019 with the fifth position from TEZ Tour operator. The company management believes that demand has grown largely due to the expansion of the concept of food in many hotels in Cyprus to All Inclusive.
This was reported at a press conference of the leadership of TEZ Tour, which was held in Cyprus. According to the representatives of the tour operator, despite the decline in tourist traffic from the Russian market in 2018, the season of 2019 promises to increase the interest of tourists to this country. By the results of the early booking action, the demand for tours to Cyprus resorts exceeded last year’s figures by 34%,
“TEZ Tour works in Cyprus for the sixth season. The highest demand now falls on Ayia Napa and Protaras. About 50% of our tourists rest in Ayia Napa, where we have three exclusive hotels. Prices this year have remained at the same level, and in some hotels even declined. The depth of sales currently reaches October 2019. The sales figures are one third higher than last year,” said the representative of TEZ Tour.
According to the company, the average price for a tour to Cyprus per person is 37,300 Rubles (514 Euros), including air transportation, transfer and accommodation in a hotel 3-4*.
Cyprus hoteliers talked about their new products, the main is the addition of All Iinclusive food service in many hotels. These changes are focused primarily on family tourists who are resting with children and are accustomed to this concept in Turkey.
The representatives of TEZ Tour believe that expanding of All Inclusive system in Cyprus is a good step against the backdrop of growing Turkey and helps the destination to host tourists looking for a “Turkish” holiday format in other Mediterranean countries.
Growth in demand for tours to Cyprus is observed only in those cities where there is a direct flight, travel agents say. These are Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk and Krasnodar. At the beginning of the season, the company will launch a new flight to Larnaca from another Russian region - Kavminvody.
