Costa Rica has become visa-free for Russian tourists
The Russian government has approved an agreement with Costa Rica on the mutual abolition of visas for citizens traveling for a period up to 90 days. The relevant Cabinet order was published on the official portal of legal information. "It is granting the right for citizens of Russian Federation, who are holders of valid passports, to cross the border and enter the territory of Republic of Costa Rica repeatedly without visas for a period up to 90 days, counting from the date of entry", - said the document. It is also reported that Costa Rican citizens can enter the territory of RF repeatedly without visas for a period up to 90 days during each period of 180 calendar days from the date of the first entry. The agreement between the countries is concluded for an indefinite period. In 2018 it is planned to sign an appropriate document with Suriname. After that, all countries of Latin America will become visa-free for Russians.
