Charters to Zanzibar flew from the capital of the Urals
The tour operator Coral Travel has expanded the geography of the cities of departure to the island of Zanzibar in Tanzania. The number of departure cities has been increased to nine: on February 2, a charter program was launched from Yekaterinburg. The tourist retail of the region predicts a good load of the new flights.
Recently, the operational headquarters of the Russian Federation for combating coronavirus infection has expanded the list of regional airports that will be able to send and receive flights from abroad. Now the number of cities in Russia from which direct abroad flights are allowed has reached 21, including Yekaterinburg.
Tour operators are considering now the possibility of launching flights abroad, including from Yekaterinburg. Basically, we are talking about Turkey and the UAE. So far, the flight program to Zanzibar from the capital of the Urals has been announced only by the tour operator Coral Travel. The companies Anex Tour and Pegas Touristik said that there is no information about the launching of charter flights from Yekaterinburg to Zanzibar.
Coral Travel explained its decision to launch charters to the Tanzanian island from Yekaterinburg by good demand and potential.
“This winter Zanzibar is popular among Russian tourists who like to spend winter holidays in exotic countries, most of which are closed now. Already the first flight from Yekaterinburg was almost 100% full,” explains Marina Makarkova, head of public relations of Coral Travel. By the way, the tour operator made an excellent film about a vacation in Zanzibar.
Coral Travel charter program to Zanzibar from Yekaterinburg started on February 2. Flights are operated by Royal Flight once every 10 days by Boeing 767-300.
Thus, there are now nine departure cities in the tour operator's flight program to Zanzibar. In addition to Yekaterinburg, these are Rostov-on-Don, Novosibirsk, Ufa, Kazan, St. Petersburg, Samara, Krasnoyarsk and Moscow, the company informed.
