Charters from Russia to Turkey Will Be Officially Sponsored
On 3-rd of April 2015, the Embassy of Turkey in Russia published the news release about subsidies to tour operators for charter flights from Russia.
The amount of 6 000 Us dollars will be paid for each charter flight from Russia to Turkey operated from 1-st of April till 31-st of May 2015. If the flight is organized by several tour operators, the money will be shared among them as the proportion of number of passengers. To get the compensation, tour operator has to apply to General Investment Office of Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey; in May – to be paid for flights in April, and in June to be paid for flights in May.
One of tourism companies explained the initiative of Turkish authorities in details. Initially, it was planned to grant only the charters with more than 220 seats, but then decided to support flights even over 100 seats. It gives benefits even to those market players, who use small airplanes, since they can get about 60 US dollars for each passenger, which is in fact almost one third of ticket’s cost. They say behind the scenes, that several companies think to change bigger planes to smaller to use in full the benefits.
According to Biblio Globus, financial support of charters will be especially actual in the second part of May, when tourist flow traditionally falls dawn after holidays.
