At the end of 2019, Russia entered the TOP-10 of source markets in terms of passenger traffic to the resorts’ airports: in Burgas Russians were in the 2-nd place (18% of the market), in Varna - in the 5-th place (8%). In total, flights from 15 Russian regions flew to Burgas and Varna.
“As soon as all restrictions are lifted, we are ready to accept all planned and additional flights from Russia,” stressed Mr. Ivo Barzov from Fraport Twin Star (the management company of Varna and Burgas international airports), adding that anticovid protocols have been introduced at the resort airports.
