Bulgaria expects the growth of the tourist flow from Russia by 10% in the upcoming summer
“The tourist flow from Russia to the Bulgarian resorts in the summer season 2017 will increase by about 10%”, - said the press secretary of the Russian Tour Operators Union Irina Tyurina referring to the data of the country's tourism ministry. "Based on the preliminary results of early booking (which will end on March 31), provided by the Russian tour operators, it can be predicted, that in the upcoming summer season the growth of the tourist flow from our country to Bulgaria will be at least 10%," said I.Tyurina. "Even now the Burgas airport, where flights from Russia most often come, is in demand almost twice much as in 2016. The interest for children's camps on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, for group trips of sportsmen and corporate events in Bulgaria has grown significantly", - added I.Tyurina. According to the Ministry of Tourism of Bulgaria, in 2016 more than 580 thousand Russian citizens visited the country, which is almost 20% more than a year ago. In general, the incoming tourist flow here increased by 16% against 2015, the total number of guests exceeded 8.2 million people.
