Aviation authorities of Russia and Bulgaria have agreed to increase the transportation
Russian Aviation and Bulgarian authorities have discussed the development of air links between the two countries on January 24-25. "As a result of the consultations the special Protocol was adopted, which, in particular, stands for increasing of volume of air passenger traffic between the two countries needed to service the increased tourist flow", - it is said on the page of the Russian Embassy in Bulgaria. According to preliminary estimates, the number of Russian tourists in Bulgaria has exceeded 600 thousand people in 2016. It is noted that the talks were attended by representatives of airlines "Aeroflot", "Siberia" (S7 Group), "Bulgaria Air", as well as the airports of Sofia, Varna, Bourgas and the Moscow "Domodedovo". The current intergovernmental agreement on air communication between Russia and Bulgaria suggests, that the charter flights airlines must obtain permission from the States designated carriers. However, Russian and Bulgarian aviation authorities have repeatedly agreed about cancellation of restrictions in the summer season periods.
