AVIAREPS expands South American network with new office opening in Quito, Ecuador
AVIAREPS, the global leader and expert in developing and shaping outbound tourism, aviation and hospitality demand and spend, has expanded its South American market presence by opening an office in Quito, Ecuador, bringing the total number of offices in the AVIAREPS international network to 66 across 48 countries. AVIAREPS’ expansion into Ecuador follows the Ecuadorian government’s declaration in December 2017 for a policy of open skies for both passenger and cargo air operations. The policy is expected to increase Ecuador’s air connectivity, providing opportunities for both inbound and outbound travel. In terms of outbound travel potential, leisure travel spending grew by 6.0% in 2017 to USD 2.34 billion and is expected to rise by 5.0% per annum to reach USD 3.801 billion in 2027. Business travel is also showing steady growth of 5.5% in 2017 reaching USD 933 million, and is expected to rise by 2.9% per annum to USD 1.241 billion in 2027.
