ATOR: prices for tours from Russia to the UK decreased by 10-15%

“The cost of tours to the UK for Russian tourists has decreased by 10-15%”, - said the Russian Association of Tour Operators (ATOR) on Friday. The average cost of tours to the UK in rubles decreased by 10-15% in February against the same period of the last year ", - reported in the statement. As explained in the ATOR, the reduction of the price for the Russians is a result of the weakening of the Pound sterling against the Euro. And so, at a fixed cost of tours in Euros or Pounds at the level of the last season, the prices in Rubles fell in average by 15% this year. According to the BSI tour operator, while in March-August 2016 the minimum cost of a week tour with the flight to the UK for a person started from 44,500 Rubles, in early 2017 it is 38 thousand Rubles. As noted in the Pac Group, this year the demand of Russian tourists for the UK tours has increased in whole. According to tour operators, the most popular types of holiday in the UK are excursion programs, event tours, trips to sporting and cultural events. In addition, the educational programs are booking actively, especially in the summer period.
