Almost every second tourist came to Antalya from Russia in the summer

“About 2.35 million Russian tourists came to Antalya from January to mid-August, which is almost 40% of the total tourist flow to the Turkish resort”, - reported the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR). “At this time, more than 6 million tourists visited Antalya since the beginning of the year, which is almost twice as much as in the same period in the last year. Thus, the foreign tourist flow to the resort has almost doubled, which was due to the growth of the number of Russian tourists”, - noted in ATOR. The number of Russian tourists who visited Antalya this year exceeded the results of a successful 2015. From January to July 2017 about 2 million Russians rested in Antalya. As reported, the Russians were the most numerous foreign tourists in Turkey as a whole. The total number of foreign tourists who visited Turkey in the first seven months of the year amounted 17.3 million, which is almost 22% more than the result of 2016. After the opening of the charter flights, in 2017 the demand for tours to Turkey quickly recovered. Now the representatives of the tourism industry call this country as the number one destination for Russians.
