Where Russians wait for winter

Thailand has become the undisputed leader among countries where travelers from Russia fly this winter. So 19,7% of travelers who want to spend more than three weeks abroad, chose Thailand. Uzbekistan is in second place with share of 14,6% and Germany took the third position, where 9,8% of tourists fly in winter time. The fourth line was taken by Kyrgyzstan, the fifth - by Vietnam. Also the top 10 countries included Armenia, Kazakhstan, India, China and Spain. With a high degree of probability, people go to the former republics of the USSR not for the winter, but simply to go home or visit relatives.

Indonesia did not get into the top 10, although some travelers fly to the island of Bali for the winter.

The cheapest flights, according to Tutu.ru, were the flights to Armenia and Kyrgyzstan (the average price of RT ticket was 219 Euros), and the most expensive were flights to Thailand and Vietnam (at least 642 Euros in both destinations).

Among the most popular domestic winter destinations for Russian travelers are Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Simferopol, Krasnodar, Sochi, Irkutsk, Tyumen, Mineralnye Vody and Krasnoyarsk.
