Tour operators predict a rise in demand for holidays in Spain in 2017
“The number of Russian tourists visiting Spain may rise in 2017”, - said the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) on Tuesday.
"According to the tour operators, this year the number of Russian tourists to Spain may increase. At least, the sales volume of the early booking program to Spain is more than last year. The tours are booked till September inclusive", - said in a statement.
“The number of Russians rested in Spain has exceeded 960 thousand in 2016, which is almost 2% higher than a year earlier. The geopolitical and security situation in several countries of mass tourism in recent years has made Spain one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world”, - noted in ATOR.
The press service of the “TUI Russia” tour operator reported, that the early booking program has been launched this season earlier than in the last year. "The demand is clearly higher, the depth of sales is good. Mallorca is booked more actively and significantly in increased volumes against the last year", - added in the press service.
Early booking figures to Spain in “Coral Travel” tour operator has increased by almost four times, compared with the last year. The “BSI Group” said, that the Spanish request for the summer season of this year "already very much", and mostly tourists are interested in long stay. We have a lot of requests for the rest in villas and in the hotels of the luxury segment.
