Tour operators are ready to expand the range of tours to Malaysia
According to the results of 2019, the Russian tourist flow to Malaysia has increased by 10-11%. As the director of the Moscow representative office of Tourism Malaysia, the tourism attaché of the Malaysian Embassy in Russia, Mr. Jeffrey Munir said, it is predicted that in 2019 the tourist flow from the Russian Federation will be at least 80 thousand tourists.
“In 2018, 72,8 thousand Russians came to us, which is 7,7% higher than the previous year. In January-September 2019, 60,5 thousand Russian tourists visited Malaysia, which is 11,6% more than in the same period last year. Russians do not need a visa to Malaysia, a tourist can stay in the country for up to 30 days just by getting a stamp at the airport,” said Mr. Munir.
According to tour operators, in the absence of a direct flight to Malaysia, Russians fly there by regular flights of Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, Emirates, Turkish Airlines and Etihad Airways.
Tour operators announce their readiness to expand their product range in Malaysia in 2020. So, in Pax, new combinations of programs for any wallet are being developed. Vedi Group prepares tours with a rich excursion program and also arranges proposals for beach vacations and diving for the summer season.
The tour operator Space Travel plans to expand the range of group and excursion programs in the country. A new product in Malaysia in 2020 will appear also from KMP Group.
