The tourists flow from Russia to Thailand grew by a third for seven months
“The flow of tourists from Russia to Thailand from January to July this year increased by almost a third, reaching a mark of 800 thousand people”, - said Russian Ambassador to Thailand Kyril Barsky. "Over the seven months of this year the number of tourists increased by 29%, reaching almost 800 thousand people. Also more and more Thai people go for a trip to Russia", - added Mr. Barsky. The diplomat also noted the impressive growth of trade turnover between the countries, which increased from January to June by 43.7%. Thailand is one of the most popular destinations among Russians in Southeast Asia, but the number of tourists from Russia in the Kingdom has been declining since March 2014 during almost two years. In 2016, Thailand's resorts were visited by 1.09 million Russian citizens which is 23.3% more than a year earlier. Most visitors from Russia were in 2013, when the country was visited by 1.7 million tourists from Russia”, - TASS reported.
