The Russian tourist flow to Cyprus has already exceeded the figures for the entire 2022
According to the Ministry of Tourism of Cyprus, 2,65 million foreign tourists visited the country in January-August, which is 24,5% more than in the same period in 2022.
The Russian tourist flow to Cyprus over the first 8 months of 2023 amounted to 41 thousand arrivals: this is comparable to the result for the entire last year and was 35% higher than the figure for January-August 2022.
In particular, during the summer season (May-August) alone, almost 33,5 thousand visits from Russia were recorded in the island state. This is 80% of the entire Russian tourist flow to Cyprus for 8 months of this year. This success is largely due to the block programs of tour operators on Jazeera Airways flights with a connection in Kuwait. These flights have been operating since the end of April this year.
Since the end of July, only one major player has remained on block transportation from Moscow to Larnaca. Today, guaranteed blocks on Jazeera Airways flights are consolidated by the tour operator Russian Express.
According to Russian Express experts, Cyprus is in good demand during the autumn season, including October - November. The cost of tours for 7 nights with breakfast to the popular resort of Ayia Napa starts from $ 1 730 for two persons (2* hotel).
