For the winter season 2023-24 Thailand, as before, confidently holds the lead in sales of package tours among the countries of Southeast Asia and is increasing its volumes.
This picture is observed among all tour operators working with Southeast Asia - Anex, Coral Travel, Fun&Sun, Intourist, Tez Tour, Russian Express, Space Travel, Pac Group, Ambotis Holidays, Pegas Touristik, Pax, Ics Travel Group and etc.
According to the latest Thai statistics, in the period from January 1 to October 15, more than 1 million Russians visited Thailand, or more precisely - 1 006 130 tourists. Of these, 70 015 Russians arrived in September, and for the first 15 days of October – 14 638 Russian citizens.
The obtained values ensured Russia the 5-th place in the ranking of countries supplying tourists to Thailand. Before Russia (in descending order) are Malaysia, China, South Korea and India.
The volume of sales of tours to Sri Lanka among tour operators is stable. Among different travel companies this destination accounts for 20 to 30% of total Asian sales for the winter season.
Experts have good forecasts: there are charter, direct regular flights, as well as connecting flights of foreign airlines - for example, Jazeera Airways.
As another destination that has noticeably strengthened its position by last year, Russian Express, Ambotis Holidays and Tez Tour operators note Indonesia (the basis of tourist flow is Bali).
Aeroflot's direct flights from Moscow to Denpasar have not yet taken place, but tour operators, based on current demand dynamics, expect noticeable winter sales, exceeding last year's volumes.
Demand for Vietnam and Malaysia among tour operators is generally lower than for Indonesia. But both of these countries, according to the forecasts of tour operators, may demonstrate an increase in tourist flows in the winter season compared to last year.
Malaysia is showing good results this year, tour operator experts say. The Russian tourist flow has almost reached the level of 2019, when 79 thousand Russians came to this country. By the end of this year, the country expects more than 100 thousand trips from Russian citizens.
