Russian tourists will spend billions of dollars in the Emirates

On November 13, experts commented the results of a study provided by the Reed Travel Exhibitions analytical agency, according to which by 2023 Russian tourists will spend $ 1,22 billion annually in the Persian Gulf countries. It is 19% more than in 2018. 
The agency says, most actively the Russians will spend in the UAE – 1,153 billion dollars. The average cost of a trip will increase by 5% - from 1,600 to 1,750 dollars (112,5 thousand rubles). 
According to Margarita Lebedeva, representative of the Desert Gate host company in the UAE, the growing spending of Russian tourists is connected, among other things, with the opening of new premium hotels. 
“Demand stimulates the active development of the entertainment sector, and, of course, shopping segment. In addition, the UAE began to position itself as a destination for wealthy young people and is now actively engaged in promotion through bloggers and social networks,” said Lebedeva. 
Sirak Muradyan, Chairman of Al Khalidiah Tourism, adds that many expensive hotels reduce the price of rooms for Russians, hoping that in future the spending for food and drink will exceed the volume of discount.
