Pegas Touristik to fly to Zanzibar from two more Russian cities
Air traffic from the regions to Tanzanian island of Zanzibar continues to grow. Pegas Touristik tour operator has decided to expand the geography of departure cities to Zanzibar. The company reported this on October 19. The number of departure cities from November will be increased to three - St. Petersburg and Kazan will be added to Moscow.
Pegas Touristik’s flight program from St. Petersburg on Pegas Fly liners starts on November 10 with a frequency of once every 11 days.
The first Pegas Fly flight from Kazan to the airport of Stone Town in Zanzibar will depart on November 13 with a frequency of once every 11 days.
The company said that the tours have already been calculated and are available for booking. For an 11-day tour to Zanzibar with a departure from St. Petersburg in mid-December the tour operator asks from $ 1 700 for two persons in a 3* hotel, BB.
Pegas Touristik expects good demand. The company reports that bookings of tours, departing from Moscow, are going well. From the capital the charters will fly to Zanzibar from October 25, 6-7 flights are planned per month.
Nowadays, charters from Moscow to Zanzibar are announced by four players - Pegas Touristik, Anex Tour, Intourist and Coral Travel. Tourists from the regions will be transported by Pegas Touristik and Anex Tour.
Anex Tour has regional flights from 5 regions - Kazan, Rostov-on-Don, St. Petersburg, Samara and Novosibirsk. The tour operator will send the boards of Azur Air together with Intourist company.
Travel agents believe that there should be no problems with loading of charter flights both from the regions and from Moscow - even taking into account the fact that yesterday Utair airline announced its flights in the destination. In its official press release, the carrier announced that it plans to fly to Zanzibar from Moscow once every 10 days from November 27.
Travel agents note that Zanzibar is currently the only affordable exotic beach destination and demand will be high.
