Pegas Touristik has canceled the flight program to Egypt
Pegas Touristik tour operator stopped selling package tours to resorts in Egypt with a departure after June 9. This follows from the data of the online booking system on the company's website. “The flight program to Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada was completely closed,” told Anna Podgornaya, the company's CEO.
According to the head of the tour operator, those tourists who are now resting in Egypt, will return home according to the previous plan. For those customers, who purchased tours with a departure date after June 9, Pegas Touristik will return the cost of the trip in full. “This will not be done within the timeframes established by law, but immediately,” said Anna Podgornaya.
It should be noted that only the day before the company denied information about the suspension of tour packages from Antalya to Egypt. And the company explained that only the sale of an additional service was stopped - air tickets from Russia to Turkey. However, today the plans of Pegas Touristik have changed. The tour operator refused to report the main cause of the decision.
Observers also connect such a decision of Pegas Touristik with a recent statement of Rostourism, which states that “the realization of the tourist product, including the transportation of tourists from the territory of the Russian Federation by air to the cities of Egypt, with the exception of Cairo, does not comply with the presidential decree”.
