The most popular holiday destinations of Russians in the New Year will be Egypt, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) reported. As it was explained in the ATOR, the summer demand has shifted to the low-budget dollar destinations. And the most popular of them will be the Egyptian Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh. Experts also predict high demand for ski vacation in Turkey. At the same time, the preferences of tourists from different regions of Russia will differ significantly. In Siberia and the Far East, tourists will keep choosing tours to Thailand, China and Vietnam. Among the residents of the Northwest region the leader again will be Finland. The growing demand for domestic flights will will be supported by relatively low prices and an active promotional campaign in Russia. The leader destination in Russia will be Sochi, big demand will also be for tours to Great Ustyug (home of Russian Santa Claus) and to Karelia. The less expensive overseas destination on the New Year will be the Sharm el-Sheikh. Tour package for two people with accommodation for 7 nights in 4-star hotel on all inclusive meal plan will cost from 70 thousand rubles (about $1000). The same tour to Hurghada will cost almost twice as much, starting from 137 thousand rubles. The same price will be for the tour to Antalya. On these destinations, the cost of the tour usually includes New Year banquet. Among the long-haul destinations the most expensive will be Dominican Republic. Tour for two people with accommodation for 10 nights in a 4-star hotel with all inclusive meal board and the flight from Moscow will cost at least 350 thousand rubles. Ten-day tours for two people from Moscow with accommodation in a 3-star hotel with breakfast in Thailand and Goa will cost from 170 thousand rubles, in Vietnam - from 206 thousand rubles. Tour package to China with accommodaton in a 4-star hotel can be a minimum of 140 thousand rubles for two people. Tour operators started selling ski tours. Week trip to Italy and to France will cost from 75 thousand rubles, to Austria - from 98 thousand rubles. Russian ski resorts in Krasnaya Polyana offer accommodation in a 3-star hotel for 10 nights for 80 thousand rubles. But you need to book a New Year trip now, as the hotels are already booked 55%. A similar tour to Sheregesh resort in the Kemerovo region will cost at least 75 thousand rubles. Hotels in Great Ustyug for the New Year holidays have already been booked by 100%. Visit to Russian Santa Claus will cost for a family with one child about 60 thousand rubles. This amount will include hotel accommodation for three days with three meals per day. Since January 3, this tour will cost 42 thousand rubles. The ATOP also noted that due to the reduction of income, many Russians have decided to abandon the winter holidays.
