Moscow celebrates the 869-th birthday with a thousand events.
“On September 10 and 11 will be held more than one thousand of celebrations in Moscow to mark the 869-th birthday of the city. About 10 million people are expected to participate in festivities”, - "Interfax" was reported in the Department of Culture of the Russian capital.
On Saturday and Sunday the events will take place on 212 citywide places, including 22 parks, 50 central playgrounds and also more than 50 district and 70 regional sites. The programme includes more than 300 concerts and music festivals, more than 100 master classes, over 200 free of charge excursions. The sports program is planned as well.
In addition on September 10 and 11 - 88 museums and exhibition halls in the capital will work chargeless. Among them are the Moscow Museum gallery, the State Museum of “GULAG” history, the Exhibition Hall "Manege", museum of panorama "Battle of Borodino", Santa Claus Moscow estate, Fashion Museum, Darwin Museum and others.
Saturday’s programme will finish at 22:00 by festive fireworks in all the city districts.
