More than 600 000 Russian tourists have visited Thailand since the beginning of the year

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has published fresh statistics on the tourist flow to the Kingdom for March and the first 10 days of April. According to the results of March, Russia has maintained a strong position in terms of tourist flow to Thailand. At the beginning of April, Russia took the third place of the top entry markets for Thailand, and China already took the first one.

The Moscow office of the Tourism Authority of Thailand reported: in March, Thailand was visited by 178 925 tourists from Russia. This is less than in February, when 184 858 tourists from Russia arrived in Thailand and in January, when 202 642 Russians visited Thailand.

In any case, the result of Russia is high - both on a monthly basis and in general for the first quarter of 2023. The Russian Federation has the first place in terms of tourist flow to Thailand among all non-Asian countries.

Good demand from Russians is also observed in April. During the first 10 days of April, Thailand received 47 913 citizens of the Russian Federation. The obtained result allowed Russia to take the third place among all countries (not only non-Asian ones). In the second place is Malaysia with 73 641 tourists. As per the results of the first 10 days of April, China became the leader, from where 94 799 tourists arrived.

Meanwhile, as a result of more than three months of this year, Russia still ranks the second in terms of tourist flow to Thailand. During the period from January 1 to April 10, 614 338 tourists from Russia arrived in Thailand.

Malaysia is the leader. From January 1 to April 10, 976 262 tourists arrived from Malaysia to Thailand.

In the fourth place is South Korea with 469 750 tourists. India closes the top five countries in terms of tourist flow to Thailand for a little over three months. Its result is 360 964 tourists.
