Japan will simplify visa regime for businessmen and students from Russia
Visa regime for visiting Japan will be made easier for Russian businessmen and students in autumn, the Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said. "Since September this year, Japan plans to ease the visa regime for Russian businessmen as part of an eight-point cooperation plan to further encourage bilateral contacts. This is a special measure for Russia," he underlined at a press conference following the Russian-Japanese summit talks.
In addition, within the framework of the development of bilateral relations, the regime for student’s visas will be facilitated. "It was decided to simplify the procedure for issuing visas to students of 465 universities in Russia in order to expand contacts between young people," added Abe.
