In spring tourists actively book tours to the Maldives

Spring Maldives are in good demand among Russians. The destination is now in the TOP-5 most demanded countries. A lot of applications are now coming and for summer season. Travel agents spoke about this in an interview.

“The volume of spring sales of tours to the Maldives is high. The resort is included in the TOP-5 of the most popular outbound foreign destinations. Every year, the volume of bookings of tours to the Maldives in the company has doubled,” Intourist reported.

Commercial Director of Intourist Philip Obruchev-Mironov noted that transport accessibility is an important argument for customers when choosing a holiday in the Maldives. Tourists can fly to the Maldives both on the direct regular flights of Aeroflot and on charter flights of Azur air (Intourist has blocks of seats on these boards).

Flights of foreign carriers are also in demand among tourists. Some of the most pleasant prices and comfortable transfer times are offered by Gulf Air.

The popularity of the destination among Intourist customers is also facilitated by a wide price range of offers. Intourist offers more affordable options besides luxury hotels.

Intourist noted that tourists are showing great interest in budget accommodation in the Maldives. Inexpensive guest houses and hotels with an optimal price-quality ratio are loaded well.

Travel agents said that the Maldives has become an accessible resort and now attract the attention of budget tourists. Although, of course, most of the requests traditionally fall on high-class hotels, many of which Russians are already starting to book for New Year's dates.

“Tours are actively sold until end of May. Also, tourists are already thinking about summer holidays in the Maldives and the New Year period. This interest is fully justified: there are hotels that are already on the stop for the period of the New Year holidays. And we can’t book accommodation there,” said a travel agent from Moscow.
