In 2024 visits to Thailand will continue to grow

Tour operators have positive forecasts for 2024. Demand growth for Thailand will continue, if competitive prices from hoteliers and good transportation volumes remain at today’s level.

Fun&Sun expects double growth in the 23/24 winter season compared to the volumes of the last winter season. The tour operator even had plans to expand flight programs to Phuket, but the limited hotel base of the island became a limiting factor.

Space Travel also plans to double its volumes in Thailand. Pegas Touristik hopes on the growth of charter transportation. Anex believes that the flight program could expand even in the summer.

“For the first 3 months of the new year, demand will not fall; growth is possible. Then, probably, there will be some calm, tourists will “switch” to more traditional summer destinations, and in August, most likely, there will be an increase again,” Ambotis Holidays predicts.

But this season Thailand has competitors: Vietnam and Hainan.

“Hainan and Vietnam, with the advent of direct transportation, will draw out part of the tourist flow from Thailand. But, if hoteliers offer an excellent price policy and transportation remains, perhaps we will also see stability and even growth in the Thai destination in 2024,” noted Russian Express.

Tez Tour specifies that this scenario is especially possible, if direct flights to Hainan and Vietnam fly from the regions.
