iFly airline canceled flight program from Russia to Egypt
iFly airline is forced to cancel the flight program to Egypt due to the lack of permission to use the airspace of Jordan, as well as the imposed restrictions on the flight from a number of other states.
“Due to the lack of permission to use the airspace of Jordan, as well as the restrictions imposed on the flight from a number of other states, iFly airline notified Tez Tour on the forced cancellation of the program of international flights to Egypt from Russian Federation,” the press service of the tour operator, which is the main customer of iFly flights, announced.
Almost all Tez Tour tourists who stayed in Egypt, and this was 7 500 passengers, were returned to Russia by 22 flights of third-party air carriers.
As of December 27, some number of tourists remains in Hurghada. The evacuation of tourists from Sharm el-Sheikh will be carried out from December 28 to December 31.
Representatives of the tourist industry continue to hope on the resumption of flights.
“In the event of a positive development of events, the flight program will be restored. The tour operator will additionally inform partners and customers about it,” Tez Tour explained.
