Experts explain the growth in demand for holidays in Israel
Russian tourists travel more actively to Israel. Sales rates exceed last year’ figures by at least 15-20%. The Ministry of Tourism of Israel notes an increase in tourist flow from Russia. In the first nine months of this year, more than 219 000 Russian tourists visited Israel, which is 4% more than in the same period last year. The task of the tourism authorities of the country is to reach the level of 400 000. Anna Filatovskaya, the director of the department of advertising and PR of the tour operator Russian Express, confirms the growing interest for the country among Russians and explains this with favorable prices for tours, including due to special offers from hotels, as well as a large number of various programs.
Speaking about factors positively influencing the demand, the expert drew attention to the fact that the tour operator, among other things, offers tours with guaranteed blocks on the boards of El Al airline on the route Moscow - Tel Aviv - Moscow. According to Yevgeny Russiyanova, the representative of the Jerusalem Development Authority in Russia and the CIS, Russian tourists recently more and more often combine beach vacations in Tel Aviv with excursions along Jerusalem.
Now, regular flights to Jerusalem are operated from 7 cities of Russia: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Krasnodar, Samara, Yekaterinburg and from Mineralnye Vody.
