Egypt hotels promise discounts to the Russians

Egyptian hoteliers are ready to meet the expectations of Russian partners - to give a discount on the accommodation of tourists from the Russian Federation. Recall that such an assumption was made by tour operators after the statement of the Russian President Vladimir Putin. The head of the state said that our country will seek to resume charter flights to resort areas of the Arab Republic in the near future. “We, of course, look forward to the returning of Russian tourists, because before the ban on flights between two countries, it was the Russians who provided 70% of the load in our hotel,” said Ahmed Yezzat, the director of the sales and reservations department of Sindbad Club. According to him, this October his hotel is 85% full. Today's forecast for November - January is 45–85%. The representatives of other hotels add: despite the interrupted flights between countries, the contacts with colleagues from Russia were maintained. And now mutually beneficial cooperation options are being discussed with them. Including they are ready to provide wholesale discounts. However, hoteliers do not disclose their size, due to commercial secrets and the fact that negotiations have not yet been completed, and the date of the resumption of charter flights is still unknown. Observers, meanwhile, say: there is no certainty that prices in hotels in Egypt, despite the discounts, will be lower or at least at the level of 2015, before the crash over Sinai. Since October 2018 at most hotels in Hurghada, the cost of rooms in dollars has increased significantly. In retail, the price for a week-long vacation for two persons in a 5* hotel on All Inclusive basis starts from $ 500. But the fears of Russian tour operators about the fact that Egyptian hotels are not ready to host tourists from the Russian Federation are not confirmed there. Hoteliers claim that they still have Russian speaking staff and in most cases no new staff will be required.
