Egypt continues issuing visas at airports for Russian individuals

Egypt continues to issue visas on arrival for tourist groups as well as for independent travelers, the head of the tourist office of the Egyptian Embassy in Moscow Ahmed Elgendi said.

"All the people still have the ability to issue visas at the airport," he said.

Earlier, Egyptian Foreign Minister planned from May 15 to oblige independent travelers to obtain visas before travel for security reasons. However, representatives of tourist industry of Egypt opposed the initiative, saying that the new visa requirements may lead to a decrease in tourist flow by 25% (this is the number of Russian independent travelers visiting Egypt).
