China is preparing for the return of Russian tourists
Despite the fact that the first news about coronavirus came from China, it was this country that first began to emerge from the crisis. According to the head of the marketing department of the China Travel tour operator Yevgeny Glotov, told that many of the sights in the country are working again as usual, and carriers are already making plans for the coming months.
“Yesterday there was news that all the hospitals, opened specially for the coronavirus, were closed in Wuhan - all of them have already been discharged. Our partners also informed us that Hainan Airlines intends to resume flights on the Moscow-Beijing route at the end of March. Moreover, we already see tickets for direct flights to Haikou on sale. Air China is also preparing to resume flights to Russia,” he said, emphasizing that top tourist places have already been opened, for example, Zhangjiaze National Park, Suzhou Parks, Terracotta Army, Guilin, etc.
According to Yevgeny Glotov, in Hainan (popular among Russian tourists), business is already starting to operate normally, but the tourism sector is still pausing. “As soon as the situation stabilizes, China will be ready to host tourists again. But the problem is in the restrictions inside Russia,” the expert said.
“Of course, we count on support from the Chinese authorities, including subsidies. We also plan to begin the promotion of the destination immediately after the opening,” the representative of China Travel added.
