At the Chinese New Year Moscow was visited by 1.5 times more tourists from China, than a year earlier
“During a week of celebration of the Chinese New Year Moscow and St. Petersburg were visited by almost 4 thousand Chinese tourists in groups by visa-free regime”, - reported in "The World without Borders' Association”.
"According to the capital's tour operators and hoteliers, about 1 thousand visitors from China celebrated the Chinese New Year in St. Petersburg, in Moscow - almost 3 thousand travelers, which is 50% more than the year before", - noted in the association.
According to the executive director of the Association "The World without Borders" Svetlana Pyatikhatka, Russia remains one of the most popular European destinations for Chinese tourists.
Such popularity of trips to Russia is linked, in her view, with a rapidly growing adaptation program of services for visitors from China - Friendly China. Hotels, restaurants, museums and shops in 16 regions of Russia have received the special certificate of the program.
