Antalya is waiting for at least 5 million Russian tourists

The tourist authorities of Antalya note the daily records of the arrivals of tourists, and the Russian tourist market shows the most significant results. Thus, according to Hürriyet Daily News, from January to July 18, Antalya hosted totally 6.9 million foreign tourists. This is an increase of 16%. 

Such figures mean that up to 86 thousand tourists every day arrive at Antalya airport. On July 14, the record 96 thousand tourists arrived here. “We are waking up with a new day with a new record. If this trend continues, we will easily achieve our goal of hosting 16 million tourists this year,” said Yulkay Atmaka, the head of the Association of Professional Hotel Managers (POYD). 

The Russian tourist flow, according to him, shows “the most satisfactory” results. Last year, Antalya hosted 4.8 million of Russian tourists. An increase of 5-10% is the forecast for this year.
