Travel planning service OneTwoTrip asked its customers if they had time to have a holiday over the past summer months. It turned out that the majority, or 73,8%, had not yet been on vacation. Half of Russians (50,3%) have already planned a vacation for the near future, but the rest are not going for holiday this season.
As the company told, 73,1% of respondents have high hopes for autumn: they believe that holiday in the autumn season this year will be better than summer. Tourists are already booking flights. In Russia, for example, the most popular routes in September-October are Moscow, Sochi, St. Petersburg, Simferopol, Krasnodar, Anapa, Rostov-on-Don, Yekaterinburg, Mineralnye Vody and Krasnoyarsk.
At the same time, 57,2% of Russians think that budget holidays at this time, most likely, will not be. However, according to early booking data for September and October, the average one-way ticket price is 77 Euros, which is almost 20% cheaper than in August.
For many tourists the opening of borders with other countries may be a reason to take another vacation in the autumn: 54,7% answered that they are ready to take an additional vacation. Currently, the most preferable destinations in the autumn are Turkey, Greece, Montenegro, Italy, Uzbekistan, USA, Spain, Thailand, Great Britain, France and Germany.
