Who of the Russian tour operators is the leader in Antalya

The results of a study, conducted by the analytical company Turizmdatabank on a rating of tour operators in Antalya, have been published. Also the study shows the shares of tour operators of the Russian market in Antalya province for the period from August 1 to October 1, 2020. According to the data, presented by Turkish analysts, the current rating of Russian tour operators after the resumption of flights to Turkey is as follows (in descending order of share size):

Pegas Tourıstık
Tui Russia
Biblio Globus
Intourist
Tez Tour

There are two groups of leaders in sending tourists from Russia.

The leader, Anex Tour (excluding Intourist) has a market share of package tours a little more than 21%. Coral Travel / Sunmar share is 19,5 %. So, the shares of these two leaders are close in terms of volumes. We can say that each of these tour operators has sent about 1/5 of all Russian "package" tourists to Antalya since August. If we take Anex Tour together with Intourist, a member of this group, the share of Anex Group will exceed a quarter of all tours to Antalya sold in Russia.

The second group includes tour operators with similar market shares (range - 1/6 - 1/7 of all tourists). These are Pegas Touristik, Tui Russia and Biblio-Globus.

Intourist and Tez Tour have together about 1/10 of the Russian package tours market in Antalya from August 1 to October 1.

Compared to 2019, analysts note, there is a noticeable strengthening of Anex Tour's positions, and the strong positions of Coral Travel / Sunmar in the Antalya market.

The final rating of Russian tour operators in terms of their shares in the Antalya market for the entire 2020 can only be made at the beginning of 2021.
