"VIM-Avia" stops charter flights

“The owner of "VIM-Avia" has neither operating assets nor borrowed funds to continue the work by itself”, - stated Rosaviatsiya after the meeting on the operational activities of the carrier. “The airline has decided to completely stop the charter flights of passengers to the places of rest and back”, - adds Rosaviatsiya. "Negotiations with another Russian airlines are under way to replace VIM-Avia on socially important routes to the cities of Far East", - the report said. "The government bodies are working out measures and are searching funds to continue transporting of the passengers of the airline. Various options are considered, including the introduction of anti-crisis management and the removal of the existing leadership from control over economic activity". At the same time Rosaviatsia notes that during the monitoring of the financial and economic state of VIM-Avia the Federal Air Transport Agency was provided with accounting statements which showed airline's favorable condition. Co-owner of the airline Rashid Mursekayev on the air of "Russia-24" said that the airline is studying the possibility of introducing external management. "The revolving funds have run out, the financing has been suspended. The services at airports are suspended too. As the airline cannot fly, we are studying the possibility of introducing an external crisis management", - he said.
