Tunisia will compensate 40% of the seats on charter flights to the Russian tour operators

The Government of Tunisia is ready to compensate for Russian tour operators 40% of the seats in charter flights in order to maintain the flow of tourists from Russia, the head of the National Office of Tourism of Tunisia in Russia Mezhid Kahlaui said to journalists. "We are ready to compensate 40% of empty seats in the planes to our partners. The tour operator has to fill 50% of the charter flight, 40% will be taken on Tunisian side, over the rest of the places we are negotiating with the airlines," Mezhid Kahlaui said.

According to him, it is only one of the measures provided for supporting tourism in relation to the events in Tunisia.

As previously reported, a third of Russians have asked to return home earlier from Tunisia or cancel previously bought tours to the country after the terrorist attack that occurred on June 26 at the resort of Sousse.
