Tourists choose Vietnam, Thailand and the Caribbean instead India
From March 13, 2020, India canceled tourist visas already issued. The restriction is valid until April 15, 2020. Tour operators cancel arrivals in India. As an alternative to canceled tours, tourists choose Thailand, Vietnam and the Caribbean with arrivals in the near future and on other dates in 2020.
In this regard, Rostourism recommends tour operators selling tourist products to India to replace this destination by other (alternative) one, or search for other solutions that take into account the mutual interests of both sides as much as possible.
Visas for tourists who are already in India are not canceled. They will be able to leave the country as usual.
Tour operators report that due to India’s decision to cancel visas, they will cancel previously booked tours since March 12, 2020. Anex Tour told that the flight program to Goa from Moscow and the regions was canceled from March 12 ahead of schedule. The end of the season was previously planned at the end of March.
“Tourists who are in Goa now continue their vacation, their return will be planned. Tourists who booked a tour to India with departure after March 12, 2020, are advised to contact the travel agency to replace the trip to alternative destinations,” the company said. The Anex Tour tourists are interested in such alternatives as Thailand, Vietnam, and the Dominican Republic.
Pegas Touristik also announces the cancellation of tours to Goa. Alternatively, tourists choose low-cost and epidemic-free destinations: Vietnam and Thailand.
