Tourist industry is waiting for the mutual growth of tourist flows between the Khabarovsk region and Japan
For many years Japan is one of the main partner of the Khabarovsk region in the tourism sector due to geographical proximity, the presence of regular air traffic, as well as the active development of comprehensive cooperation between the territories. The most successful relationships are formed with Japanese prefectures: Kanagawa, Kyoto, Nagano, Niigata, Okinawa, Osaka, Tokyo, Hokkaido and Tottori.
A presentation of the Khabarovsk region with participation of the governor of the region was be held in Tokyo in March 2016. It presented the tourist potential of the region and a package of the most attractive tours along the region: "Shantarsky island", "The Nimelen River", "VIP-hunting and fishing" and others.
With the support of the Consulate General of Japan in Khabarovsk the training seminars for specialists of tourism and hospitality industry have been held since the beginning of 2016.
Yury Mishchenko, graduated from Moscow Institute of Foreign Languages, has more than 15 years experience in tourism and travel. Working both in tour operator company as destination manager, and in travel agency as sales manager, he is focused on analysis of Russian tour operators’ daily routine.
