Tourist flow from Russia to Bulgaria increased almost 4 times
The Ministry of Tourism of Bulgaria reported an almost 4-fold increase of tourist flow from Russia in January-May 2022 compared to the same period in 2021.
“Despite the difficult international situation and the lack of direct flights, in January-May, 33 5800 arrivals of Russian tourists were registered in Bulgaria. This is 3,9 times more than in the same period last year,” said Bulgarian Minister of Tourism Hristo Prodanova.
Issuance of tourist visas to Russians at the consulate at the Bulgarian Embassy in Moscow takes place in a standard mode. Currently, Russian tourists travel to Bulgaria mainly through Istanbul (Turkey) or Yerevan (Armenia).
Russian tour operators did not cancel tours from Russia to Bulgaria. The companies express their readiness to continue working, taking into account the new conditions.
