Tourist flow from India to Russia has increased by 27% for 9 months
“Tourist flow from India to Russia for 9 months of 2018 increased by 27.5% compared to the same period last year”, said the press service of the Russian Information Center in India.
“In addition, the number of tourist visas issued from January to September exceeded the number of visas issued for the entire 2017,” said Ivan Breganov, the regional manager of the Russian Visa Center in India (IFS) at a round table on the development of relations between Russia and India in the sphere of tourism.
The managing partner of the Russian-Indian Information Center in Russia and the Russian Information Center in India, Paresh Navani, during the meeting presented a program “India Friendly” for promotion of Russia on the tourist market of India. Its participants were 25 hotels from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan and Sochi.
According to P. Navani, the program is aimed at creating a comfortable environment for tourists from India in Russia who, traveling outside their country, experience some inconveniences due to “national-cultural peculiarities and traditions”.
The participants of the round table also noted the growth of tourist traffic from Russia to India by 29% over the past two years.
