Tour operators record an increase in sales of tours to Vietnam for the New Year holidays
Vietnam is gaining popularity among Russian tourists. Despite the lack of direct flights to the country, for a number of tour operators sales of tours for the end of autumn and the New Year holidays have increased significantly compared to last year.
From November 15, Fun&Sun launches a flight program to Cam Ranh with a landing in Almaty on Scat Airlines flights. As the company noted, sales dynamics are positive, the load of the first flights is almost 80%.
“Demand is approximately at the level of 2022, but for the New Year, of course, it is higher. Tourists mostly request tours from 9 to 16 nights. The top 3 resorts include Nha Trang, Mui Ne and Phantet, the same as a year ago,” the press service clarified.
The company added that last winter season Fun&Sun sent about 3 thousand tourists to Vietnam.
According to Anna Filatovskaya, director of the advertising and PR department of the Russian Express company, sales activity increased by 30% compared to last year. Mostly hotels are booked for December-January, but there are also longer-term bookings until April next year. Many applications for the New Year period and mainly in January are coming for the southern resorts of the country - Mui Ne, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc Island. Most tourists book trips for 9-14 nights.
As per Border Service of the Russian Federation, before the start of the pandemic in 2019, more than 600 thousand people visited Vietnam.
