“The ceremony of meeting of Russian and Chinese tour operators in Makhachkala on Sunday opened a new tourist route "Great Silk Road" in North Caucasus”, - reports the agency "Interfax-South".
“The opening of this route will strengthen the strategic cooperation between Russia and China, because the “Great Silk Road” at all, and the part of it (passing in North Caucasus - IF) are very important",- said the Head of the diplomatic mission of the State administration in Moscow Zhao Huntsin.
According to him, in the first half of 2016 the tourist flow from China to Russia increased by 50%, At the same time the reverse flow from Russia to China increased by 45%, In the next half of the year the growth will maintain a high speed too, - the source said.
The project designed to increase the flow of tourists in the Russian Federation, both domestic and international. It was initiated by regions of North Caucasus Federal District and implemented with the support of the Russian Federation Ministry of North Caucasus.
