The tourist flow to Vietnam from Russia grew by more than 50%

As a result of the first half of 2017, Russians by the number of arrivals are in advance of US and European countries. According to the latest data of the National Tourism Administration of Vietnam (VNAT), during the first six months of the year 313.5 thousand Russian tourists visited the country (+ 53.4% in comparison with the same period of 2016). By the number of arrivals, the Russian market has outdrive such traditional markets for Vietnam as Taiwan (+ 22.9%, total 298 thousand tourists), Malaysia (+ 15.9%, 231.5 thousand tourists), the USA (+ 9.3% 320 thousand tourists), as well as Australia (+ 10.0%, 181 thousand tourists). Russia is the first among European markets. For comparison: 145 thousand tourists arrived from Britain to Vietnam, from France - 136 thousand people, from Germany - 103 thousand tourists. As reported earlier, tour operators noted a slight decrease in the intensity of sales of summer tours to Vietnam this year, but at the same time, Russians have expanded the geography of their holiday in this country.
