The majority of Russian tourists will go to Thailand on the New Year holiday

Following the results by the end of the first week of November, Thailand is the leader in sales of New Year tours. This follows from the data provided by the travel agencies networks to the professional portal “TourDom.ru”. It may be noted, that a year earlier, in November 2015, the majority of retailers named Russia as the most popular destination for New Year's date. The experts explain the shift in consumer priorities in this year by two reasons. Firstly, the ruble is demonstrating stability now. Secondly, we have stopped flights to Egypt in the beginning of November 2015 after the crash of a Russian passenger airliner over the Sinai. Additionally, on a recent day the Minister of Tourism and Sports of the country has predicted that by the end of the year 1.15 million tourists from Russia will choose Thailand for the rest - it is 31% more than in 2015.
