The costs of attracting tourists to Russia is valued at the level of two rubles per person
“Spending on attracting abroad travelers to Russia in 2015 amounted on the average two rubles per person”, - said the head of International Cooperation Department of the Federal Tourism Agency Valery Korovkin on Wednesday, November 9.
He added that such figure for Europe was equal 7-10 dollars (about 450-640 rubles). In addition, each tourist spends there on the average one thousand dollars.
According to him, the lack of information about the country abroad prevents the attraction of foreign guests to Russia. The official says that on the international market the Russian tourism industry is working in "information vacuum".
For the period of last seven years the tourists flow to Russia for the first nine months of 2015 became a record. In whole, during this time the country was visited by 20.7 million people.
